Photo from Park Bait of Saro Kevorkian holding his Illinois state record burbot weighing 11lb 12.5oz. Saro released the record fish back into Lake Michigan where it was caught at Diversey Harbor.

On this day in fishing history...

In 2020 Saro Kevorkian caught the #Illinois #StateRecord Burbot(11lb 12.5oz) before the ink was even dry on the previous record that was caught by Luc Van Brenk just a couple weeks prior. Both fish were caught in Lake Michigan at Diversey Harbor.
