An elongated table, 7 metres 30 centimetres long, 3 metres wide, 1 metre thick to the south-west, north-west and south-east, and only 55 centimetres thick to the north-east.

This is a photo of Pentre Ifan - a stunning Neolithic burial chamber in Pembrokeshire, Wales - deep in perfect snow early on 20 November 2025 following a visit from a meteorological phenomenon known as the "Pembrokeshire Dangler". The sky was grey and cloudy, and it was snowing quite heavily - so, whilst it may look like a black and white photo at a first glance, it isn't.

#PentreIfan, our local #Neolithic #burialchamber, looking even more otherworldly than usual last week. What a privilege it was to see it like this, with not even a single footprint in the #snow.
