BB Minas Geraes Due to the Caesar Mining Corporation's attempt at acquiring the Andrea Doria-class Battleships, and the BB Gaio Guilio Cesare, the Pan American Mining Company (a close competitor) also decided to order a battleship of their own in order to protect their own interests in the area. The resulting battleship, named PAMS Rio de Janeiro was modelled after HMS Agincourt and mounted 7 twin turrets on the dorsal side. The ship was seized along with the CS Pompey in the ensuing corporate crackdown by Gaia after the failed attempt at rebellion by the CMC, and was renamed the Minas Geraes after one of the ships in the South American dreadnought race. In spite of it's potent broadside, the ship lacked in ventral firepower, with only secondary caliber weapons and point defense being mounted on the underside.
