2/4. Para entender lo que vemos, señalamos las partes principales del cometa: el núcleo (la bola de hielo), la coma (la atmósfera nebulosa) y la tenue cola.

Dato: Hemos añadido la silueta de la Luna 🌕 para que te hagas una idea del tamaño del campo que cubrimos.

🔭 Earlier this evening, before the Moon rose, I spent about an hour tracking Comet C/2025 R2 (SWAN). Its brightness has now dropped to magnitude 8.4 and after rounding the Sun, the comet is heading back toward the distant regions beyond the Kuiper Belt.

Ніч з вівторка на середу була (нарешті!) безхмарною.
Тому, вдалося впіймати:
C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) - 1 - увечері 2 - ядро крупним планом, 3 - на світанку
і 4 - C/2025 R2 (SWAN).
Обидві були майже на піку яскравості.

Night sky, blue black in the upper right strewn with colorful bright stars, Milky Way to the left and below with countless stars fading into a reddish haze and darker clouds. Near the center, where the edge of the Milky Way starts to fade to black, is the green glowing blob of a comet, smeared diagonally between the upper left and lower right by its motion. Glowing red nebulae are visible above and below left of the comet, and several dense star clusters are scattered around the scene.

Comet C-2025 R2 - telescope processed image with Moon and Skylight filter.  C/2025 R2 (SWAN) is a long-period comet discovered in Sept. 2025. It reached perihelion on Sept. 12, 2025, and made its closest approach to Earth on Oct. 20, 2025. Best seen with binoculars.

A night sky, fading from slightly blue to slightly red near the horizon, with a scattering of colorful stars. Half way down and a bit to the right the small fuzzy green blob of comet C/2025 R2 (SWAN) is clearly visible and unlike anything else in the image.

Last night was relatively fog free for the first time since I don't know when, so here's #Comet C/2025 R2 (SWAN). Slightly smeared because the stack is aligned on the stars. Asteroid 4 Vesta and NGC 6171 are also there, if you know where to look
