I am disappointed with the decision by the Israeli police to prevent the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem and the Christian Communities of the Holy Land from marking Palm Sunday at the Holy Sepulchre. These actions further violate the longstanding status quo of Jerusalem’s Holy Sites. People of every faith in Jerusalem should be able to worship freely, fully, and without fear. I am pleased that President Herzog has contacted the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, to reaffirm this.

An interesting assessment from activist Yves Engler, who was barred from running for NDP leader back in December.

On social media, Engler said he would have gotten third place if he was allowed to participate (but it's not clear how he's basing that). He also congratulated Lewis. #cdnpoli #canpoli

Wab Kinew scrummed with reporters about half an hour ago. He's much more positive than Nenshi and Beck, saying relations will be "very good" and the two groups will get to work right away.

Kinew added he's not concerned that Lewis said he won't support new fossil fuel projects. #cdnpoli #canpoli
