There are #noautojobs the factories are robotic. What there is, still, is jobs making to its and heavy specialized vehicles.
Canada has a half dozen #firetruck & 4 #ambulance makers .

Getting them to standardize on #CATLBedrockChassis & #KiaPV7 chassis would drastically undercut US competitors.

GM and Ford are done. I can't see any path to either hanging on.

#Stellantis as a box of name brands from Europe can probably cobble together enough institutional and prestige subsidy to continue. But as like a nameplate on #CATLbedrockchassis.
