So proud of my partner’s performance at #CCN25 in collaboration with aiar collective. EEG-modulated live set where different frequencies change the sound of the synthesizer. Speakers and light tubes are synced to the different EEG channels. I’m biased, but I think this is so cool!

Why can we decode visual mental contents from primary visual cortex when all evidence points at the absence of sustained spiking in this part of the brain? Today at #CCN25 poster C104, Noa will present a tentative answer from her work with attractor models. Wish I could’ve been there!

This year at #CCN25 we showed the importance of OOD evaluation to adjudicate between brain models. Our results demonstrate these trivial but key facts :
- high encoding accuracy ≠ functional convergence
- human brain ≠ NES console ≠ 4-layers CNN
- videogames are cool
