Children’s Mental Health Week is ending, but the need isn’t.

Children’s Mental Health Week is ending, but the need isn’t.

If you’ve been meaning to donate, this is your sign.

If you’ve been meaning to donate, this is your sign.

This Children’s Mental Health Week, we’ve highlighted the importance of mental health support for ALL children and that ALL children should be able to feel that they belong. Mental health is at the heart of the support we provide, help us continue this work bit.ly/DonateAGN #CMHW

So many are already doing these things to support their autistic young person. Sometimes it doesn’t feel enough, & sometimes it goes unseen, but it matters. Pass this to those in your child’s world, because greater understanding = safer, more supportive spaces for our young people. #CMHW

We know that many parents and carers are already doing these things every single day to support their autistic young person’s mental health. Pass this to those who are part of your child’s world. Greater understanding creates safer, more supportive spaces for our young people to thrive. #CMHW

“We’ve been told that their mental health isn’t bad enough yet to be given support.”

“We’ve been told that their mental health isn’t bad enough yet to be given support.”

Being told to wait for crisis isn’t support, it’s failure.

Mental health support shouldn’t start at crisis point.

Mental health support shouldn’t start at crisis point.

Too often, families tell us they’re turned away because they’re told things aren’t “bad enough” yet. For autistic girls, this delay can mean years of masking, anxiety, & unmet needs. Early support matters, because waiting for crisis is failure & our children deserve better. #CMHW

Many autistic girls struggle on the inside. We've created a space where they don’t have to mask to belong.

Autistic girls are often misunderstood. They can experience exhaustion, anxiety, & overwhelm while appearing “fine” to the world around them. Effective children’s mental health support must be autism-informed & recognise masking, to prevent them falling through the gaps. #CMHW

Mental health support is about more than crisis response, it’s about connection, understanding, and belonging. For autistic girls, safe spaces, validation, advocacy & peer connection aren’t extras, they’re essential. Help us to keep providing these vital resources - https://bit.ly/DonateAGN #CMHW

We’re joining @place2becharity.bsky.social  in calling for mental health support that is proactive, inclusive, & responsive to every child’s needs. Awareness, early intervention, and emotionally safe spaces matter so much and these are just some of the reasons we created The Haven. #CMHW

Government will not boost economic growth ‘until mental health crisis tackled’ NHS data shows one in five children and young people experience a common mental health problem such as anxiety or depression.

Mental health difficulties in children & young people cast a long shadow that can last a lifetime.

Yet services are underfunded, and too many children face unacceptably long waits for support.
