As freezing rain fell on #CMSCOP14, delegates deftly negotiated the slippery terrain of #deepseamining, the new Strategic Plan for #MigratorySpecies, and the budget.
As CMS Executive Secretary Fraenkel put it, the result was "the best COP ever."
UN Conference issues warning on risks for migratory species if #deepseamining goes ahead. We very much welcome this strong call by States at #CMSCOP14 for caution to safeguard the future of marine species.
