Just got back from my cousin Gordon’s funeral. We left the crem to The Pet Shop Boys ‘Go West’. The churchgoers were all singing ’Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart’. The Baggies fans sang ‘Go West (Bromwich Albion)’. Something for everyone #CofE

I've felt a lot of that recently. It really helped to commiserate with my fellow musicians and, finding that everyone was feeling heavy about (waves hand) *stuff*, we kind of got each other through. We all left church feeling a lot of love for each other. Which is, I spose, being the Body #CofE ✝️⚓️

Personally, as a member of both the #CofE and the Green Party, I’d be happy to see the Church disestablished in England: it’s been in hock to the establishment for far too long. Jesus said don’t take oaths but the CofE insists on its ministers swearing allegiance to the throne: how absurd is that?
