This conversation is making me quite nostalgic and slightly bereft thinking of #Cakewatch. I learned so much from you guys.

After the success of last year’s “bake your... After the success of last year’s “bake your thesis” morning tea, this year’s theme was “bake a language” - once again raising funds for the Cancer Council. It was a reminder of just how creative so many of my colleagues are (and also that they’re pretty good cooks!). My contribution was the apple P.I.E. - which like many of the other offerings was a baking pun. Proto-Indo-European is the best reconstruction of the ancestor language of many modern European languages all the way over to languages like Nepali and Hindi.
