🌏🌎 Spoon-billed Sandpiper (Calidris pygmaea) The Spoon-billed Sandpiper is a small wader with a unique spatulate bill. Breeding adults have a red-brown head and breast, while non-breeding birds are grayish-brown. They breed on the coasts of the Bering Sea and migrate along the Pacific coast to wintering grounds in Southeast Asia.
