The #californianativeplants Salvia leucophylla is a bit of a sprawler, here climbing in some limbs of a manzanita 🌱

A tall lance-leaved plant in bright sunlight. Tiny red flower buds adorn branch tips. The background is a magnolia tree, a disintegrating 30-year-old wooden fence, tons of weeds, English Ivy, wisteria, and a bunch of interesting rocks collected in the 1960s by the former resident, a geology professor. The figwort's official name is Scrophularia californica.

The bee plant aka figwort is over 6 feet/2 meters tall and about to bloom. Planted out as a small plant in late September in 9B. Seems happy in a morning sun/afternoon shade situation. 🌱 #californianativeplants

Visited #PtReyes this week to seek out these beauties, and found a couple stands that were peaking! These #wildflowers are Trillium chloropetalum var. chloropetalum (pale yellowish-green petals).💚

More Coastal Green Hairstreaks from Tuesday. If you look closely, there are also eggs in both shots. Didn't see them ovipositing but the first is light green, so matches their description. I'd guess they're both CGH eggs.💚
