Parents have said that they feel their children have been well-cared for in our hospitals, with the majority saying that they are treated with dignity and respect by staff.

In 2020 just 47% of children felt involved in decisions about their care in hospital.
In 2024 this increased to:
🔹 81% aged 8–11
🔹 87% aged 12–15
Still work to do, but this is a HUGE step in the right direction!

Quote from Professor Steve Turner, President of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health: "As a nation we are failing our children. Despite the best efforts of paediatricians and the wider child health workforce, the CQC's assessment is a clear message that not enough priority has been given to recover child health and care services post pandemic"

Today's #CareQualityCommission report paints an alarming picture of the state of #ChildHealth with rising need, increasing waits & poorer outcomes.
The #RCPCH has urged a greater focus on children’s services at both a national and local level. Full response: www.rcpch.ac.uk/news-events/...
