A tiny lime green sundew seedling with leaf bearing ~100 long red hairs each with a drop of clear, sticky ‘dew’ on them.

I’m not terribly strict or regimented in my greenhouse. #Sundews tend to self seed from pot to pot. Maybe D. capensis. Leaf is about 1cm long.

Long tentacles each bear a crystal clear drop of mucilage to trap small insects.

One of the tuberous Drosera (the pot says D. menzieii but I suspect it might be D. hookeri that has self seeded).

Very adept at catching small #diptera the sticky tentacles curve in to try to clasp the prey to the centre where it can he digested.

Bright pink flowers on thin stalks, with lots of green buds. Further below are the plants themselves, rosettes of sticky tentacles that will trap anything small & silly enough to wander close.

Drosera omissa x pulchella always has lovely flowers. This is my second year with this colony & I couldn’t be happier with its development. 🌱
