Das Bild eines Engels mit Flügeln, Heiligenschein und hellrotem Umhang hinter dem Rücken. Der Engel ist als nackter Mann dargestellt, trägt einen Lorbeerkranz auf dem Kopf, in der rechten Hand einen Stab und in der linken Hand eine Krone, der linke Arm ist nach oben gestreckt und mit 3 grünen Kränzen umwickelt. Um den Engel herum gruppieren sich 4 kindliche Engelsfiguren und schauen ihn an. Die Szene umschließen graue Wolken.

Wie kam es dazu? Johann Heinrich Meyer, Direktor der Fürstlichen freien Zeichenschule, hat den „Genius des Ruhms“ von Annibale #Carracci aus der Dresdener Gemäldegalerie frei kopiert und in leicht abgewandelter Form eine der Engelsfiguren #Raffaels hinzugefügt. #Kunstgeschichte
