All Saints Cemetary @ #CarrsHill. Estimated 30,000 buried here including some of the #Bessborobabies that died in hospital. No burial records exist. What a crying shame! My brother suspected to be buried here. #MotherAndBabyHomes #859Missing #Bessborough
@horganp.bsky.social apologies but I can’t find any other Cork City Councillor on here. Could you please find out why the cross at #CarrsHill Cemetery is no longer lit up. It’s an awful shame that #CorkCountyCouncil have not kept it alight for the Famine victims & those from #Bessboro
My mother was told by the nuns that William was buried in the graveyard at Bessboro but in 2019 a letter that should have been given to my mother in 1994 when she visited #Bessboro revealed that he was buried in a famine cemetery at #CarrsHill amongst 30,000 others, 3/7
All Saints Cemetery, Carr’s Hill Cork, Ireland. A place where is estimated 30,000 are buried from the famine time up to the 60’s. My brother is meant to be buried here, where exactly we don’t know.
A beautiful morning!
30,000 unmarked graves, some could be from babies born in #Bessborough that died in Cork District/St Finbar’s Hospital.

Flowers laid at the gates of All Saints Cemetery, Carr’s Hill for baby William who is said to be buried here in an unmarked grave. Born in Bessborough Mother & Baby Institution and died 6 weeks later, we believe if he got timely medical care he would have survived.
Another year! A baby that shouldn’t have died.
William Rest In Peace 💐
