Possums are native wildlife. Cats are not. This little guy was not much bigger than a rat, and easily hunted and killed by an illegally roaming cat. We love cats too, cats are wonderful creatures, but they do not belong in loose in the landscape any more than hogs, or cows, or dogs do. Please inform yourself about this issue. We are already decimating natural fauna, without piling the supreme hunting skills of our feline pets on top of the destruction. #CatsIndoors

This is where Rosie pounced on a bird yesterday and hurt another chestnut backed chickadee. this camera did not capture it. I was in another part of the yard and saw the black movement. Back taking a bath today, not having learned any lessons *because* they did not evolve with cats. #CatsIndoors

The person who owns this cat is too important to give her freshwater to give her a good life. The cats name is Rosie and she lives across the street from me here she is drinking pond water. #CatsIndoors birds poop in this water, raccoons, clean themselves in it and rats drink out of it.
