2026 Celtic COLOURS Celtic Colours International Festival o .•. 36m • 6 Celtic Colours needs your support Celtic Colours brings real economic activity to communities all over Cape Breton Island by celebrating the music, culture, and hospitality that makes this such a special place. For three decades, communities throughout the island have come together to make it happen through volunteers, community groups, partnerships, and public support. And it has worked. Last year alone, the festival generated more than $15.8 million in economic activity on Cape Breton Island. Beyond the numbers, it creates connections between communities and builds relationships that extend far beyond the island. But things are shifting. Celtic Colours is now facing significant funding shortfalls that put this work at risk. While we remain committed to presenting the 30th festival this fall, the reality is that continuing at this level is becoming increasingly difficult.
We need your help. We are asking you to consider making a donation today to help sustain this work and its impact. Your support helps make it possible to: • deliver island-wide artistic programming • support youth initiatives • create opportunities for local artists and communities • contribute to the economic vitality of Cape Breton Celtic Colours exists because people care about it. With your support, it will continue to bring communities together and share Cape Breton's culture with the world for years to come. All donations are eligible for a charitable tax receipt. purchase.celtic-colours.com purchase.celtic-colours.com
So upset with this #NSpoli ! For 20 years we spent $1,000s travelling all around your province, specifically to attend this ART/CULTURE EVENT, #TimHouston along with folk from around the globe! Arts & culture make your province! 😡 #CelticColours 🍁
A note I recently rewrote - about depression, sensitivity, and #CelticColours! (I rewrote it because in retrospect - I felt some parts of the original note needed clarification). Ⓐ
Storm’s blowing in, so I’m sitting inside listening to Cape Breton fiddle to perk up a Friday afternoon. The Beaton Family, Rachel Davis, Natalie McMaster, the MacGillivray’s, Chrissy Crowley - there are so many awesome fiddlers preserving #NovaScotia and #CapeBretonIsland musical traditions […]
On the #CelticColours chat earlier tonight, I mentioned that the #NorthShoreGaels show was my favourite Celtic Colours show. And then shortly afterwards, “Stephanie C” (clearly #StephanieConn), who co-organized the North Shore Gaels show, thanked me for saying so! She made my night. Ⓐ
Earlier, I tried to be amusing on the #CelticColours chat - and my Mom was mortified, and advised me NOT to say anything I said. But I said my shit anyway, because I think I’m funny. Been rockin’ out to THIS tune tonight (on repeat).

While I was chatting with a friendly woman on the #CelticColours chat yesterday - my Mom was gung ho that I should not refer to myself as being an “old” person, and that I shouldn’t make it sound like I’m a hermit. But I say I am both! So I did both. I mean, I hardly know anyone in my community. Ⓐ
Craft breweries on Cape Breton. The fall colours and music are so beautiful #celticcolours #capebreton

🧵4/ final - Finishing off the #MusicVideo thread for a Friday evening, and continuing the #CelticMusic theme, here are Cape Breton Island’s Beaton Sisters playing on the stage of the #CelticColours music festival. This is one of my favorite pieces ever. It starts slow, but if it doesn’t get your […]
Ever play any Mec Lir? (Manx folk band I've adored since seeing them in Cape Breton at #CelticColours )
