The twisted base of a massive driftwood tree at Centennial Beach has been photographed at close range. The shot was naturally quite monochrome to begin with, but has been further desaturated and lighting levels adjusted to highlight the beautiful grain of the wood. A glass orb is cradled between roots on the left side of the frame. On the right, a delicate spider web has been built across one of the larger crevices.

An open bivalve shell (mussels I think?) on a beach which is more very fine pebbles than it is sand. The right half of the shell is broken and missing most of the upper portion while the left side is intact. The interior of the shell is white and purple. Dried out seaweed frames shell above and to the right. A yellow jacket is resting inside the left half of the shell.

A long exposure photograph of rocks and pebbles in the shallows of Centennial Beach. A large rock at the centre of the frame is speckled grey and white with one long strand of sea weed wrapped around it and trailing off to the left with the movement of the water. Other rocks range in colour from browns, greys to reddish orange to blue-greens. The long exposure has given the very shallow waves a marbling effect.

Shallow water, lightly rolling waves, and a sparkling sun make for extra #shiny rocks.
