Can't get over how clear/bubble-free this spittle mass is. You can easily see the spittlebug nymph inside. It's like a tiny fish (bug?) bowl! 🤩

P.S. - that fluid all came from its anus 😳

The #Cercopoidea #spittle bugs, as soft baby nymphs they hide encased in froth produced by mixing their excreta with air. As adults they have their leap and wings to flee, but they gotta get there first!
