A Blue show like no other I've witnessed.
1000s of #ChalkHillBlue males jousting (females keeping low profiles) w CH males but also Adonis, some tattered, & Common Blue, 2 special moments round my head & shoulders, their wings touching my hair, then down resting
& not a word spoken!

The bells are ringing again in Chalk Hill Blue country despite the drought.
Only one sole #ChalkHillBlue butterfly observed though.
The dry chalky ground needs rain now.
Still #Harebell, #Knapweed, #Dwarfthistle, #Round-headedRampion & many more chalk grassland specialists are ready for insects.
