Wall followed me as walked through #castlehillnnr y/day, there were many but of course overshadowed by 1000s of blue .. #butterflies
However, what I saw on the bare ground but did not capture w my lens were courting Wall couples bowing to each other ♥️🦋
Now you don't see that very often!

The valley floor has crop of Flax seed ripening to warm brown, contrasting pleasingly w straw-coloured tall grasses & hillsides in various shades of green & red splashes of poppy & Stonechats. Reserve is home to trillions of small creatures, some of them riding on grass broomsticks.

Common and Chalk Hill Blue butterflies on a mineral hit in the sheep dung in #CastleHillNNR in Sussex today.
They needed to replenish all that energy spent chasing and courting females.
