In #Namibia, the Education team kicked-off outreach for 2026!
The team is starting in the Kunene Region – and the students are excited to learn why saving #cheetahs is so important! The team also exposes students to careers in #conservation, and the importance of going into the field of #science.
In 2022 and 2023 seven naturally mummified #cheetahs were found in a series of caves in Saudi Arabia. When analyzing the remains, researchers made a discovery that could help efforts to reintroduce the #cats to the Arabian Peninsula.
