The audiobook image for Children of Ruin by Adrian Tchaikovsky. It shows two space ships against a red toned star field background. One is blue/white with a roughly disc shaped base and a spiky irregular tower rising from the centre of it. It looks to have been damaged as there appears to be debris floating around it. The other is much smaller, a brighter white colour with red edging on nose and wing. It has fluid, curving lines making it look akin to a Manta Ray.
Just finished the excellent #ChildrenOfRuin by @aptshadow.bsky.social and there's a new line to add to the list of great ominous sci-fi lines.
"I'm sorry Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that."
"I'll be back."
"Resistance is futile."
"Are you my Mummy?"
and now...
"We're going on an adventure."
