This Christmas, I’m sending love and joy from Tropical North Queensland in Australia! Imagine a tropical paradise (where the heavy rain just stopped this morning) and the sunny beaches... The sound of gentle ocean waves, the sight of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree on golden sand, and happy faces all around make this season truly special. Imagine an island, where the clear turquoise water meets a bright blue sky, and palm trees sway in the warm breeze as families and friends come together to celebrate. Islands like this do exist and one day you and your loved ones might come and visit this paradise too! We don’t have snow here, but the atmosphere is filled with happiness, kindness, and the spirit of the season. It’s very different to the Christmas I experienced as a child (and also last year again) in Europe, and it’s this wonderful world full of contrasts and the diversity that I enjoy and even thrive on. It’s a moment to focus on the things that bring us together – kindness, hope, generosity, and the joy of sharing.
