White text on the right reads: “Holy Saturday, also known as Easter Eve, is the day between the crucifixion of Jesus and his resurrection. It is typically spent in contemplation, remembering the grief of the disciples. Many churches hold a solemn Easter Vigil, which begins after the sun has set. It is during this vigil that a new year's Paschal candle is lit, symbolising Jesus as the Light of the World. Dydd Sadwrn Sanctaidd, a elwir hefyd Noswyl y Pasg, yw'r diwrnod rhwng croeshoelio Iesu a'i atgyfodiad. Fe'i treulir yn nodweddiadol wrth fyfyrio, gan gofio galar y disgyblion. Mae llawer o eglwysi yn cynnal Gwylnos Pasg ddifrifol, sy'n dechrau ar ôl i'r haul fachlud. Yn ystod yr wylnos hon y mae cannwyll Pasgal blwyddyn newydd yn cael ei chynnau, sy'n symbol o Iesu fel Goleuni'r Byd.”
