A black and white surrealist self-portrait photograph by artist Claude Cahun, titled Que me veux-tu? (What do you want from me?), created in 1928. The image uses a double exposure or photomontage technique to present two closely intertwined, bald, androgynous figures. One figure on the left looks directly towards the viewer with an intense, steady gaze. The second figure on the right is shown in profile, positioned closely behind the first, appearing to whisper or interact with the other's shoulder/ear area. The composition explores themes of the subconscious "double" and a splitting of identity.

This is a self-portrait photomontage by the French surrealist artist Claude Cahun, titled M.R.M (Sex), created circa 1929. The work explores themes of identity, gender fluidity, and the subconscious, which were central to the Surrealist movement. Cahun, who used the pronoun "they," often challenged traditional gender roles through their self-portraits, blurring the lines between masculine and feminine. The collage incorporates various symbolic elements, including fragmented body parts, a mask with different expressions, a butterfly, and a small figure of a horse inside the head. The title "M.R.M." refers to Marcel Moore, Cahun's stepsister, life partner, and frequent collaborator, who likely took the photograph that serves as the base for the montage.

A hand holds up a copy of Heartlines: A Love Story by Sarah Waisvisz against the green leaves of a cedar. The cover of Heartlines has a hot pink banner across the top and bottom. Across the top it reads "Heartlines: A Love Story." Across the bottom it reads "A play by Sarah Waisvisz". In the middle is a bright, black-and-white photo of Claude Cahun and Marcel Moore and their reflections in mirrors. The works that comprise the cover are works by Claude Cahun. They are: Self portrait (reflected in mirror), 1928, and Claude Cahun (1894–1954), Suzanne Malherbe / Marcel Moore looking into mirror, 1928, both courtesy of the Jersey Heritage Collections.
Hot off the press! Heartlines: A Love Story by Sarah Waisvisz has arrived! This new #play follows the lives, love, art, and resistance of gender pioneers #ClaudeCahun and #MarcelMoore.

Collage of several self-portraits by Claude Cahun, cut out and reassembled in fantastical arrangements. Text in the corner "Ici le bourreau prend des airs de victime. Mais tu sais à quoi t'en tenir. claude."

Grainy and speckled vintage black and white photo of an art assemblage by Claude Cahun. A small wooden artists' model figure, standing with one hand resting on an upturned hammer. The figure is holding a large old fashioned key in their other arm. There is a small star propped against the wall behind the scene. The figure and objects cast a strong shadow on the wall behind them. The image suggests a curiously surreal situation.
