Trying to get back in the swing of digital art after doing just traditional for the last few months, so picked up and my tablet today and here's a little Clove doodle page!

Est. Shot - Claudia's, Monarch City est. 1997 Window advertises breakfast, lunch, and cocktails. They're open. Cut inside to Clove the lioness and her possum partner Bev sitting at a table with plates of food. Bev has a beer and grins up at Clove as she listens to her story. Clove is finishing up - 'So I come in, and Stone's entire ass is on fire. Like, fully ablaze.' Bev responds - 'It was not!! Holy shit, and he didn't notice?' Stone is Clove's brother, an Iberian wolf and head chef of the restaurant where they both work. He's a good guy but easily distracted.

The bell above the door goes ding-a-ding. We see an ear and eye come into frame, then a closeup of a shocked Clove saying 'Oh, come on...' Closeup of the newcomer's chest, some loose thick chain necklaces over a Minnesota Wild jersey and a denim lapel with some lesbian pride pins. Closeup of Bev looking miffed as she says 'Awww, no way...' Shot of Booker the smooth collie coming into the diner, a grin on her face. In the background, Clove face palms while Bev leans her head back in annoyance and both say in unison - 'Babe, don't look now, but...'

Bev and Clove from the other angle, both pointing towards Booker and saying in unison - 'My ex just walked in. Wait, what.' Booker's attention has been caught by a cute feline in a skirt and is saying 'oh heyyy there baby' However when Bev and Clove speak, their attention shifts and they look over with a 'hm?' before saying 'just one second, sweetness, is that...'

Booker looks absolutely delighted as she steps towards our heroines, saying 'OH. MY. GOD. CLOVE!!! BEV??!' Clove thinks 'Fuuuuuuuuck' Bev thinks 'A'

Been getting into making comics recently; it's a great way to practice and flex both drawing and writing at the same time.
