Concept sketches of a character named Faust Cor-Daurada. Only his greyish-blue hands and a bit of his torso are visible. He wears one thick sleeve covered in long tentacle-like black feathers. He is wearing many rings which represents various things as the three primes of alchemy, water, royal sea bream, cocatrices, ceramic tiles, a quill, and the Llynnean entity Zaï. On top of the rings, a llynnean cocatrix is visible. Its head is red with a bright eye. Its beak's shape features a diamond at the tip. Other than its head, the body is black. Its tail starts in long tentacle-like feathers and ends dragon-like and scaly. Its spurs and claws are noticeably big. text next to the art reads: Faust Cor-Daurada A renowned indret alchemist. Took in Xander as his adoptive son and apprentice. only ever referred to as "old man" ("my old man") by him though. Whenever or not he sees Faust as anything close of a father figure is uncertain and seems to fluctuate. so that means he's Ollie's grandpa ? woah. his face is always pictured as shrouded or obscured, like a foggy memory. His skull is more known. No nonsense kind of guy. Collected and deliberate in his actions. somewhat harsh in his calmness. have a real powerful and intimidating persona, but ends up pictured in an almost comical light when spoken about by Xander and Hope. They take great fun in minimizing him. Based on a Llynnean cocatrix. Royal sea bream symbols mixed in. Inspired by Nicodemus from Secret of NIMH design-wise.

Back on my worldbuilding grind with a bit of a character concept. I quite like thinking about him in relation of what he means to Xander. #CoZaï

Combined with a nose-like pattern on his stomach and two feathers imitating fangs, his body somewhat looks like the face of a cat-like creature.
