I don't usually buy the multitude of self help records one inevitably finds in the thrift shop universe, but the cover on this one was just so... um... compelling... I had to find out if he sounded like a TM version of Criswell, the legendary "American psychic known for wildly inaccurate predictions" (according to the wiki) and star of several classic Ed Wood films (notably Plan 9 From Outer Space). And... indeed, Norvell sounds eerily like a cross between Criswell and Bela Lugosi (who also starred in an Ed Wood film) which makes me wonder if Norvell studied them before starting his career as a 20th Century Philosopher? The noodly slightly out of tune upright piano tinkles in the background adds the perfect soundtrack for his mellifluous incantations. It is signed on the back cover, by the way. A keeper.
