#Cocodona250 coverage is the most wholesome thing this year

Everyone gets a shout out
Everyone gets their race story told
For a whole week

Yes a small field makes this possible but bigger events should be able to do more to cover mid and back of the pack runners

Really happy for Finn Malenson to get 6th place at #Cocodona250 and smash his time from last year.

It’s been great hearing his prep and insights on @runsingletrack.bsky.social - he’s clearly cut out for these long events.

12k people watched Dan Green finish the Cocodona 250 on YouTube yesterday. That is unbelievable. Coolest part, someone watched yesterday and decided they wanted to try running or trail running. #cocodona250 #running #ultrarunning

Goes without saying, Dan Green’s run to win and set a new course record was commanding from the start.
He trusted himself to stay on the gas, had a terrific attitude… Unbelievable debut to this distance.
We’re going to see more of him.

Give it up for Harry Subertas. He set the blistering pace for the first 50 miles of this race.

He slowed down, significantly, then clawed his way back through the pack.

He’ll be coming in shortly, in 5th place overall and 4th male.

Update on fan fave Callie Vinson (bib 236): per her Instagram, she did have to drop due to a flare up of chronic migraines.

She is recovering and hopes to make it back in time to pace any runner who needs a pacer for the finish.

Rachel Entrekin flew out of Trinity towards Buffalo Park. She will capture first place female and set a new course record — several hours faster than the previous record.*

Previous record, set by Annie Hughes in 2022, was 71:10:22.

Edher Ramirez ran a different race strategy than 4 of the top 5 runners in the field —conserving his energy through the better part of the race.

Green, Sandes, Entrekin and Subertas have run full bore for most, if not all, of the race.

After a tough battle for position, Edher Ramirez navigated the technical descent on Elden Mountain with ease and is still moving well as he cruises towards Buffalo Park to capture third place on the podium.

I finished Cocodona in just over 84 hours in 2023. What Dan Green just did in 58:47 and with just a reported 15 minutes of sleep, blows my mind. #cocodona250

I’m in awe at how well all of these runners are still moving. They’ve still got springy legs, loose and comfortable upper bodies, they seem focused but energetic.

They’ve been running for almost 38 hours. They’re incredible.
