Front view of the small sterling silver Mid Century vintage coin tie clip. The tie clip itself is 925 sterling. The coin is a 1935 Liberty dime that is 90% silver. Both have a darkened patina from age. The tie clip is not much longer than the dime itself. Due to its shorter size it's best for skinny tie wear.

A rare and unusual pair of antique Victorian era handmade sterling silver cuff button / cufflinks with Ancient Egyptian silver coins at front. There was a vogue in the Victorian era for ancient artifacts re-made into contemporary (of that period) jewelry items, and this is a good example of it. The pair have the same type of coin used on both pieces, but one shows the 'face' while the other shows the backside. From the style etc of the coins, I am guessing that they are from the later Ptolemaic era in Egyptian history or approximately 2000 years ago, and the coins show the head of what may be a queen of Egypt or the goddess Isis, while the backsides show markings in the Demotic script (one of three scripts in use in Egypt at the time, and found on the famous Rosetta stone which when it was found finally enabled historians to decipher Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics) above what I believe is a scene with goddesses presiding over the rituals given at death. (I am not an Egyptologist, and this information is to the best of my knowledge only.) In any case, a rare artifact, and truly a unique gift for oneself or others. The coins measure just a hair under 1" in diameter, and the pair of cufflinks weigh 10 grams total. Really excellent condition given their very great age with some fine scratches etc as shown.
