Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship ENDED - High Streamflow Advisory - Coldwater River, Similkameen River and Skagit River Issued: 10:30 AM December 17, 2025 The River Forecast Centre is ending a High Streamflow Advisory for: • Coldwater River and surrounding areas • Similkameen River and tributaries including upstream Tulameen River • Skagit River and surrounding areas River Conditions: The river levels have reached peak levels from rainfall and snowmelt on Monday and Tuesday and are now receding. No significant additional streamflow rises are currently anticipated. The River Forecast Centre continues to monitor the conditions and will provide updates as conditions warrant. BC River Forecast Centre Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship A High Strcamflow Advisory means that river levels are rising or expected to rise rapidly, but that no major flooding s expected. Fast-fowing bodies of water incroase risk to life safety. Minor flooding in low-lying areas is possible. A Flood Watch means that river levels are rising and will approach or may exceed bankfull. Flooding of areas adjacent to affected rivers may occur. A Flood Warning means that river levols have exceeded bankfull or will exceed bankfull imminently, and that flooding of areas adjacent to the rivers affected will result.
