infographic with drawings of traffic lights, but every light is yellow, because I am colorblind. the diagram shows that when there are exactly three rows of lights, it's easy to distinguish, because red is always on the top and yellow is always in the middle. if there are four rows, then the colors are ambiguous. this is usually done to make space for a yellow or green arrow, but it's not obvious which one! the solution is to re-arrange the lights so that they are stacked in three rows, with all the yellow symbols in the same row.
reposting a 2025 banger: there is an easy and intuitive way to make traffic lights accessible to colorblind people, and I get a little sad whenever I see an intersection that doesn't do it.
