Taken with the Canon Powershot S3 IS, f/4, 1/800s, 72mm. I used prosumer cameras for years, until I finally reached the level where I needed MORE. I then switched to a Sony mirrorless and never looked back.
Took this pic at the Como Park Zoo years ago. Not the most spacious zoo, but it's right next to the conservatory, which is spectacular any time of year but especially in winter. Admission is free, donations welcome. #SaintPaulMN #birds #swan #ComoParkZoo

Captured the newest member of the #ComoParkZoo ... born exactly one week ago today (November 6) ... giraffe calf born to mom, Zinnia. This morning was her first time out on the indoor habitat. She is 6 feet tall and weighed 132 pounds at birth. Adorable.

Canon Powershot, f/4, 1/40s, ISO-800, 16mm. The best place to be in winter in Saint Paul, MN, is the conservatory at Como Park Zoo. It's wonderful! The tropical plants and high humidity made me feel so good.

I was in the Como Park Conservatory on a freezing winter day, and the humidity was so high, I had to wait twenty minutes for my lens to clear so I could take this picture. Totally worth it. 🙂
