Short visit to the patch (Coombe Hill Meadows) following heavy rain. On the remains of the scrape, 2 LRP, Cattle Egret, 6 Redshank , 2 Curlew and a Yellow Wag. Also a Red Kite, further Yellow Wag Little Egret and 2 Grey Heron about the reserve. #ukbirding #glosbirds #coombehill

Pretty decent count of 66 species at #Coombehill this morning @gloswildlife.bsky.social, including 9 species of wader and 10 species of waterfowl. Also Red 4Z a colour ringed Cormorant from the low countries. #GlosBirds
WeBs count in the meadows yesterday ended a total of 59 species. Reduced numbers, but still a good variety of waterfowl on site. Big increase in Pipit and Wagtails and a Coal Tit (patch gold). Decent flock of chatty Fieldfare and Redwing #Coombehill #GlosBirds

A cold and wet Febuaey WeBs count at #Coombehill this morning, somehow managed 46 species, including 11 species of waterfowl and 3 waders. #GlosBirds Fresh Otter spraint in 2 different locations. #GlosMammals

Coombe Hill this afternoon. An Autumnal air as 16 Pintail 18 Wigeon 10 Tufted and a fem Pochard were new in on the floods over the weekend. Cattle Egret, 2GWEgret, 3 Buzzard, Sprawk and Kestrel. Juv Ruff and 3 Snipe and an Egyptian Goose. #ukbirding #coombehill #glosbirds

Tad damp on the patch this morning (Coombe hill meadows). However rewarded with the years first Green Sandpiper on the scrape. 17 th species of wader this year which is poor in relation to past years. 112 th species on site this year for me. Well down sadly . #coombehill #ukbirding #glosbirds

Proper exciting morning to #Coombehill Meadows #CHM yesterday 59 species, 6 sps of wader, and 11 species of waterfowl. Better still, 1st returning Curlew back on territory, now one of the defining moments of the year for me.
