Another monochrome self portrait where I am holding the camera in front of my left eye. My right hand is supporting the camera and the left hand is giving a peace sign. I always leave my thumb up when I give a peace sign I don't know why.

Another self portrait with my electric guitar blocking most of my face except my eye. I rotated the image sideways so that the guitar and myself are horizontal.

I don't think it counts as hiding behind something if it's part of you. To my former self I'd say, when you are turning to something to cope, please make sure it makes you stronger.
