Today, Saturday before Christmas, I was in six different stores…I was the only person wearing a mask.
Lots & lots of coughing & sniffling…but no masks.
People talking about how sick they are with flu, colds, etc. yet no mask-wearing.
I haven’t been sick since early 2020.
Why?
I mask.

Doomerism is optimism. Because we can’t hope to make things better until we accept the reality of our problems. It comes with the aspiration that things , even if very bad, can be made better. Everything else is a surrender to the fantasies we created to comfort ourselves.
