This one give a brilliant overview of trying to answer the question: "So, the “official number” for 2024 is +1.55, right?" and all of the shenanigans that came along with climate politics.

The BLACK dots represent each agencies reported Global Mean Surface Temperature for 2024. Notice how the American numbers are the lowest. The American numbers are ALWAYS the lowest. According to NASA and NOAA we still haven’t climbed above +1.5°C of warming. NASA/GISS and NOAA are officially estimating the Rate of Warming as now being about +0.27°C per decade. So, +0.15°C is about FIVE YEARS of warming according to American estimates. That’s what the “tiny difference” between the two interpretations of how warm 2024 was means “in real life”. If your child is born this year, they are likely going to live through +1.5°C of warming by the time they are 25.
