Let me tell you, in #Scotland the #NHS is running full blast. I've had two appointments this week, & the letter with the date and prep for my procedure came through today. I have three weeks to mentally prepare for the prep, which is always the worst part.

Today was my pre-assessment day at the hospital for anaesthetics. I arrived early, had an ECG before my appointment. All my vitals were checked, and blood was drawn. 40 minutes all in all.

Tomorrow, I'm back at the hospital for my CT scan.

Just coming up on 4 a.m. A night of pain and trips to the bathroom. I'm shattered, but unable to sleep, because my guts are telling me the night(mare) isn't over yet.

A good start to the day: 7+ hrs of sleep. No pain, just a 'shadow' of where it was. No 'urgency'. Had some ginger oat biscuits, which I hope won't kick things off. Not great as a #diabetic but managing #Crohn's is a priority just now.

Been awake since 02.30: pain, sweats, nausea, back & forth to the toilet. Could not get rest at all. As soon as I lay down, I had to get back up again.

Have no idea of the cause.

Hospital appointment today, so, of course, I've been up all night battling with #IBD symptoms. Typical. Had to cancel last month's appointment for the same reason.

Um, yeah. I had the pleasure of viewing one of my colonoscopies. It was not great. The long term issue is skin & eye itching that gets worse in winter. Mouth ulcers make eating hard, but when you're flaring I guess it doesn't matter.

Got my Covid booster & flu shot yesterday, & the number to organise my shingles vaccination ahead of returning to #biologics Was careful to use my mask & hand sanitiser, so I didn't catch anything.

I’ve started taking my OBI at night right before bed. I got tired of spending a day feeling exhausted and pretty terrible.
Now I do it at night, it does its thing while I’m sleeping and I wake up feeling amazing.
