Coming up the highway today just after 1pm, I just had to pull off the road and photograph these amazing #Cumulous #Clouds. They were spectacular. There were other types too but these ones got the prize. Such a nice change from the smoky boring skies of late. #NaturePhotography
Saw these lovely #Cumulous #clouds as I was driving home from #Aylmer, but there was nowhere to stop and get a good picture. That's when I remembered the #drone (duh), so on getting home I put it way up over the house and got this nice Panorama of the clouds. Happy now!
Big topped cumulous cloud, with it's upper end displaying an "anvil" shape from the string convection updrafts that form it. The cloud shows a twisting pattern on the top layer, with blue sky above, and more cells of clouds below. A wet neighborhood street pointing roughly the direction of the cloud in the distance. The street is lined with houses and yards, with some cars parked on the street.
Just had this passing cumulous #cloud dump hail all over a swath of #pdx!
