🌎 Steller's jay (Cyanocitta stelleri)
The Steller's jay is a species of jay known for its striking blue and grey plumage with a black head and crest. Native to western North America they are known for their intelligence, vocalizations, and bold nature. They are medium-sized birds with a robust build and a distinctive call. Steller's jays inhabit coniferous forests and are often found in mountainous regions. Thirteen subspecies are recognised.
