A Steller's jay standing on the edge of a metal object and looking down from its perch. Above and to the left are evergreen needles. The bird is mostly a deep blue on its chest and belly, lower part of its wings, and its long tail feathers. Its upper back and head are grey. It has a black beak and black legs. There is a tuft of white under the beak. The bird has a large crest of grey feathers at the top of its head.

#Steller'sjay ( #Cyanocittastelleri) is a bird native to western North America and the mountains of Central America. I always struggle getting a good shot because they are always moving. Such a beautiful bird.
