The illustration is themed after the Marseille Tarot card of 'The Sun' and the Dragon Age Origins character Zevran Arainai. The 'past' card shows 3 crow assassins with red blades, at night, at the top is Taliesin, middle is Zevran and below Rinna. Only Zevran's face is drawn with detail. They each have chains at their wrists, to reference they are slaves to the crows, a pale crow mask and Zevran is the only one not bloodied, to hint at the violent fate his partners each met by his hand. Zevran is also the only one with a white halo, whereas the other two have a red halo, more faded. Crow feathers are hidden in their capes, both darker than Zevran's. He has a brooch with peacock feathers, showing his arrogance and pride at the time. The background shows an antivan city and Thedas' two moons. I have paid special attention to textures and patterns to emulate the popular Inquisition tarot card style.

A sketchy silent comic page, ochre background and purple pencil. Lavellan starts a grand speech to convince Cullen that two insomniac people sleeping together could be a good idea. She loses heart pretty soon, but Cullen agrees to it. Wonder at the hole in the rooftop.

A sketchy comic page, ochre background and purple pencil. Lavellan and Cullen, embarrassed, get in the bed together. A montage of four images in sequence sees them getting closer, until a contact is made. Taking the chance, Lavellan turns over, de facto having Cullen hug her.
