I played a game of Feng Shui in the afternoon. I was a Bounty Hunter. The other players were a Martial Artist and a Samurai. I enjoyed it because the players and ref were fun but I’m becoming bored with long battles in games.

And it over sells itself.

No bar in this downstairs - small, loud but manageable - room. but you scan a table code and get stuff delivered. 1/2 pint of lager and a burger £20. london, eh?

With cancellations 3 of us were left “loose” for the organiser to sort out. 2 were refs willing to run for 2 players. I elected not to fight for my game and so ended up playing a defrocked monk in a Robin Hood type game of Troika.

Sort of Friar Tuck on steroids.

Venue is Brewdog in the theatre district just opposite the grown up kid wizards play by “her”

Actually it inthe basement. Small pub type room, no independent bar. Lighter than grogmeeymt so should be good.

Still don‘t know if/what I’m playing or refereeing.

Because of excellent pre-con comms I know this con seemed cursed with loads of dropouts change of venue etc.

I arrived early. Euston underground seemed closed so I walked to the venue. Long but pleasant walk. Then went to check a recommended breakfast venue nearby.

Excellent little games day in London I come to when I’ve got no other events at the weekend. Roughly quarterly. 2 game sessions in the day . Organised like a con WarHorn etc.

I’d offered two games. With dropouts it looked like I wouldn’t get to Referee. But a ref has dropped out!

Finding a keeping good venues is hard. I’ve visited a couple of great London game days called #DAHNSARF. They were held at a great little bar in Chancery Lane*. A Brewdog establishment, it has just closed down.

The organiser now has to scramble to find a replacement.

I ran Blade Runner and played Swords without Master, met lovely folk old and new and tried my first lemon meringue pie flavoured beer!

Great game of Romance of the Perilous Land from @scottmalthouse.bsky.social yesterday at #DahnSarf, run by @viscountjonkeer.bsky.social who delivers the world’s greatest redcap magician impersonation. Definitely fae blood in the veins.

At the Brewdog for #Dahnsarf convention and a hen night has walked in. Clearly they knew that RPGs are being played and wanted to join.

Friday week I'll be releasing the games for the throngs of players to sign up to.

Thank heavens Warhorn isn't quite deceased yet. Life is easier.
