End of year list of animals saved on a single toad patrol patch in Derbyshire: 1595 toads, 730 frogs, 137 newts.

That's my local Derbyshire toad patrol done for the year 🐸 Toads are 🔴 red listed for conservation purposes. All newts saved were smooth newts (which are tiny!)

Already can't wait for next year 😃

Last friday I took eldest daughter with me on an adder survey. DARG had received reports in the area but still needed to confirm.

We didn't find any adders, but we did find a toad!
