We were delighted to attend Drimnagh Castle for their careers fair today and spoke to many potential future #DFBRecruits.

Station Officer Paul Carolan and Firefighter/Paramedic Dan Byrne were on hand to answer the many questions asked about a career in Dublin Fire Brigade.

Introduction and Course Opening by our Chief Fire Officer and Brigade Training Officer.

Split into Syndicates and meet with Syndicate Officers.

Recruit Class 1/2026 completed their first day as #DFBRecruits today.

#Throwback to this day in 2015 when ESC Class 1/2015 started in our training centre, all have since progressed tonFirefighter/Paramedics.

2nd #Throwback to Class 1/2003 who start their 24th year in DFB tomorrow.

Road traffic collision training for our #DFBrecruits who will be based in Balbriggan and Skerries fire stations.

#DidYouKnow Last year we responded to over 2,400 road traffic collisions.

Our Retained Recruit Class had their ladder assessment today.

This ladder is the longest we carry on our fire engines and can extend to 13.5 meters (46 feet in old money).

It takes four Firefighters to pitch and extend the ladder.
