We finished our first round of macroinvertebrate sampling at the @AtlanticDucks impoundments. It's been fun to learn more about what the ducks are eating! πŸͺ²πŸ¦ŸπŸͺ°πŸ¦†

Things are greening up very quickly at the @AtlanticDucks impoundments we're monitoring! 🌱🌿

Check out the difference a month makes! Lots of good cover for ducklings & goslings πŸ¦†πŸ£

Today's gosling count: too many.

8 adults & ~45 goslings. We had several more broods as well, still mostly Canada Geese, but we're starting to see ducklings as well πŸ¦†

Some of these @AtlanticDucks impoundments seem to be popular spots to nest and raise young!

Another beautiful morning out at an @AtlanticDucks impoundment. I saw 3 goslings tucked in close by their parents. Also, two Black Terns & LOTS of warblers.

It's neat experiencing the changes in & around each wetland through the season β˜€οΈπŸŒΏ

I continue to be amazed at the diversity of birds and wildlife that use these @AtlanticDucks impoundments. We're a month and a half into monitoring these wetlands and we still see new things almost every day!

Hey bird nerds, test your knowledge in @ducanada's migratory bird quiz! I did not get 100% of these, but I learned some cool facts, so it's a win regardless! πŸ˜πŸ¦†

Check out these beauties! 😍 Haven't seen too many Blue-winged Teals during my #wetland bird surveys in southeast #NewBrunswick πŸ¦†

Blue-winged Teals are long-distance migrants so they often arrive later that other ducks. I wonder where these five came from? πŸ€”
