A pen and ink self-portrait of a bearded man in his fifties made in a small sketchbook. There is a wobbly pair of round glasses siting on his forehead that look suspiciously like they are too small to fit on his face, his eyes are wide and staring, with wrinkles around and under them. His forehead is a little lined with some blemishes visible. He has a wide nose. There maybe a little of a smile playing around his mouth, which has been drawn with a single line. Small wisps of hairs are visible around the upper half of his head and on his forehead. He looks like he could do with more sleep and having his head shaved.
The sketchbook sits on a tea tray that is covered with a floral cloth. To the right of the little sketch book is a dark blue metal fine liner pen, about half the size of a full-sized pen. Above it the edge of a mug with a capital "M" on its side is visible and moving around the tray from right to left the bottom of a milk carton, the base of a green teapot and the edge of a small white saucer can be seen.
Here's this morning's tea-tray drawing. Whilst I did have a good night last night, I've not been sleeping well this week and I think it shows! Also I'm not sure those rather small wobbly-drawn glasses would fit on my face. 🤓
