And dont get me wrong. The actor playing Gandalf #danielweyman does a great job. They just had a great opportunity to explore untouched lore like the Blue Wizards and abandoned it for something "safer" but that doesn't quite fit with canon. Gandalf being around in the 2nd age needs explaining.
